Hewanorra Express Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

  • “Carrier” or “We”: Hewanorra Express.

  • “Passenger” or “You”: Any person booking or traveling on our vessels.

  • “Service”: Ferry transportation between St. Lucia (UVF) and Martinique.

2. Booking & Payments

  • All bookings require full payment at time of reservation.

  • Accepted payment methods: Credit/debit cards (Visa/Mastercard/Amex), bank transfers.

  • Prices are in USD and include 10% VAT (St. Lucia) and port fees.

  • Children under 3 travel free (max 1 per paying adult).

3. Cancellations & Refunds

4. Travel Requirements

  • St. Lucia ↔ Martinique Routes:

    • Valid passport (6+ months validity).

    • Completed immigration forms (provided onboard).

  • Domestic Transfers: Government-issued photo ID.

5. Luggage Policy

  • Allowance: 2 checked bags (≤23kg) + 1 carry-on (≤7kg) per passenger.

  • Prohibited items: Firearms, explosives, flammable liquids.

  • Liability limit: $250 USD per bag (declare valuables at check-in).

6. Check-in Procedures

  • Airport transfers: Meet at UVF Ferry Desk 45 minutes before departure.

  • Martinique routes: Check-in closes 60 minutes before sailing.

  • Late arrivals may forfeit booking without refund.

7. Liability Limitations

  • We are not liable for:

    • Delays due to weather or customs processing.

    • Itinerary changes for safety reasons.

    • Loss of valuables in unattended luggage.

    • Medical emergencies (travel insurance required).

  • Maximum liability per passenger: $1,500 USD.

8. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failures caused by:

  • Extreme weather events.

  • Government travel restrictions.

  • Labor strikes or port closures.

  • Security emergencies.

9. Service Modifications

We may:

  • Substitute vessels of similar class.

  • Combine routes for operational efficiency.

  • Alter schedules with 24-hour notice (email/SMS).

10. Passenger Conduct

Prohibited behaviors:

  • Intoxication or substance abuse.

  • Smoking outside designated areas.

  • Disobeying crew safety instructions.

  • Harassment of other passengers – Violators may be disembarked without refund.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by St. Lucia Maritime Law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Vieux Fort, St. Lucia.
